Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and a genuine love for food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires teamwork, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. A culinary qualification or relevant training is advantageous but not essential.
