Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up and sanitising surfaces Support the team during service hours by serving meals efficiently and courteously Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates Follow health and safety procedures at all times to create a safe working environment for all staff

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene Experience in meal preparation, including handling various cooking techniques Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers and managing orders Practical experience in culinary tasks such as food presentation, garnishing, and portion control is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
