We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating a strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety standards. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, and leading a team of kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient meal preparation
Manage food inventory, including ordering and stock control
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Train and supervise kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food handling
Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary
Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality
Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Previous experience in a restaurant environment is highly desirable
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
