Job Description

This is a full time role and is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative, and hard-working administrator to work as part of IMPACTT - a specialist mental health service working with Personality Disorders across the whole of Berkshire. The team is made up of a variety of professionals including psychotherapists, clinical and counselling psychologists, Mental Health Practitioners and Lived experience practitioners who are supported by a team of Administrators.



Our base is at Erlegh House on the University of Reading Whiteknights campus. This is a spacious parkland site and is a very pleasant setting. There are dedicated car parking areas for both staff and patients. We are a warm and cohesive team who are committed to staff well-being.



The service runs from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and there may be some opportunity for working flexibly around these times, which will be agreed with the right candidate, together with some opportunities for home working while ensuring we are able to offer a complete service. In addition, there are some occasions where our administrators need to travel to other sites in Berkshire and they may be required to work at Upton Hospital in Slough to cover periods of leave and other absence.



There is some flexibility over the working pattern which will be agreed with the right candidate.



As part of the administrative team you will be required to work with minimal supervision to provide professional administrative support to the clinical teams within the IMPACTT umbrella of services including our therapy streams, S UN (S ervice User Network ) , ASSIST (Assertive Stabilization) , PICT ( Psychologically I nformed C onsultation and T raining team )



You will work closely with clinical colleagues and will have a lot of contact with our service users, mainly by telephone , which can sometimes be emotionally challenging.



You will be arranging appointments , booking consulting rooms and preparing complex, confidential correspondence which requires a high degree of accuracy



You will support in the collection of activity data and assisting with the scoring of psychometric questionnaires



You may also be assisting in the preparation of training programmes



You will be expected to prioritise your own workload and support other administrative colleagues during times of absence.



You will receive regular supervision from and be supported by our Senior Administrator or Business and Performance Manager .

FOR SECONDMENT ROLES ONLY - If the secondment role becomes permanent, the successful candidate may be offered the permanent position.



The "must haves" for this role:



Proven track record of working as a PA / Secretary / Administrator



Evidence of competence in using the Microsoft suite of applications (eg Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) or equivalent for example European Computer Driving Licence (EDCL)



Experience of working as a member of a team in a very busy office environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.



You will need to have a flexible proactive approach and a positive attitude as the role can be fast paced with shifting priorities.
