We're now looking for a

Maintenance Engineer

to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, proactive individual who wants to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment.

What you'll be doing:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of food production equipment. Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime. Working closely with production teams to ensure all machinery operates at peak performance. Supporting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring all engineering work is carried out safely and to the highest standard, following health and safety and food safety guidelines. Assisting in installations, commissioning of new equipment, and factory development projects.

What we're looking for:

Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector. A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts and support the business as needed. Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience.

Hours:

7am - 5pm (rota for if production finishes after 5pm)
