We are seeking a versatile and solution-focused Copywriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, executing, and optimising high-impact content strategies across both organic (SEO) and paid media channels for a diverse client portfolio.
Working closely alongside department leads and strategists, you will help shape integrated marketing plans, ensuring that every piece of content you produce aligns with broader agency goals and high-level client strategy.
While primarily focused on SEO copywriting and driving organic search visibility, this role requires the versatility to create high-conversion copy for PPC, Paid Social, and core website pages. Following content launches, you will proactively analyse keyword rankings, traffic data, and conversion metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, demonstrating a commitment to maximising ROI.
A key aspect of this role involves cultivating strong relationships within a dedicated client portfolio, acting as their primary content strategist to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Content & Campaign Execution:
SEO Mastery: Craft highly engaging, conversion-focused, and SEO-optimised long-form content (blogs, guides) and general web page copy, ensuring content is technically sound and aligns with target keyword strategies.
Paid Ad Copywriting: Write concise, high-conversion ad copy for paid campaigns, including PPC and Paid Social advertising, ensuring messaging aligns perfectly with landing pages.
Data Analysis: Analyse content and campaign data to provide clear, actionable reports on effectiveness, organic growth metrics, ad performance, and keyword success.
Link Building (Desirable): If experienced, proactively assist in or manage outreach efforts to secure high-quality backlinks to strengthen the Domain Authority (DA) of client websites.
Management & Strategy:
Support the development of integrated marketing plans, tailoring strategies where necessary to meet specific client goals across SEO and Paid channels.
Conduct market research to identify trends, lucrative keyword opportunities, and content gaps, understanding how these can benefit your assigned clients.
Assist in the development of marketing budgets and monitor expenditure for specific content projects.
Client Communication & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned clients regarding content strategy, building strong and lasting relationships based on measurable outcomes.
Proactively communicate content plans, campaign updates, and performance results to clients.
Address client queries promptly and gather feedback to inform marketing strategies and improve client satisfaction.
Team Collaboration & Professional Development:
Collaborate with other marketing team members and departments (e.g design, development) to ensure technical execution is aligned.
Stay up to date with the latest SEO best practices, Google algorithm updates, and paid advertising platform changes to ensure the department's strategies are effective.
Gain a strong understanding of the industries our clients operate in to create impactful marketing plans.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a copywriting or content marketing role, ideally within an agency environment.
Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research and on-page optimisation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data (Google Analytics, Search Console) and present findings clearly.
Excellent client communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Desirable: Experience in link building and outreach (off-page SEO) is highly desirable but not strictly essential.
