Job Description

What we are looking for



Due to continued growth within the company's planning department, we are looking to hire an enthusiastic, proactive, and highly self-motivated core planner. The core planner will be expected to have strong technical knowledge, upon which they shall develop, of planning requirements and processes across the business. The core planner shall liaise and work cohesively with the company's planning team to deliver an excellent, collective service in line with agreed company and contract targets/ KPIs. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving and organisational skills and be able to perform in pressurised situations.

Duties:



Develop a full understanding of companywide planning requirements, corresponding contractual KPIs and general planning requirements across the business. Work closely with all company planners and Railscape management to ensure plans are accurate and delivered on time. Create work plans and access schedules in line with contractual requirements, including Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules and reactive, emergency access schedules. Ensure compliant and sufficient company production of safe systems of work plans in line with specific work requirements. Ensure suitable representation is provided by the company in client possession meetings and relaying information back to site. Meet specific contractual targets and deadlines in accordance with work plans and departmental/ contractual standards i.e. minimum of 95% access success. Maintain overall planning compliance, Review and identify trends and areas for improvement ensuring that services are regularly audited, and any issues are escalated and addressed in a timely manner and good practice is effectively shared throughout the services to ensure continuous improvement. Ensure that information, including statistical data, for audit, research and reporting purposes, is effectively and efficiently collected, recorded and collated in the assigned area. Regular liaison with departmental staff providing advice and support to managers where required.

Requirements:



A strong understanding of rail access and planning systems i.e. Rail Hub, PPS, emergency access procedures Excellent understanding and knowledge of NWR standards An ability to think innovatively and pro-actively under pressure in a fast-paced workplace Organised - ability to prioritise works and manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously Proficiency in all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Projects (beneficial but not essential) Computer literate - ability to efficiently pick up new software or systems. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
