The team

ITV\xe2\x80\x99s Content Supply Technology department is a key group within ITV\xe2\x80\x99s Technology division that is responsible for the technology platforms, engineering and products that enable us to deliver ITVs famous and popular content from its multiple sources to our online platforms, to our B2B partners and to ITV\xe2\x80\x99s family of linear TV channels. The Catalogue Management team are responsible for ITVs Content Catalogue, ITV\xe2\x80\x99s source of truth for content identification and metadata information for all content that ITV commissions, acquires, produces and distributes. You\'ll be involved in making sure our catalogue services are scalable and serve the ever increasing demands of our streaming and broadcast services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take part in system design and collaborate with other engineers and teams.
• Ensure a high level of quality, usability and maintainability of the systems.
• Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concerns.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with other product teams to ensure good cross-product cooperation.
• Support applications through the full lifecycle, both during development, release, and after release

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll need (minimum criteria)

• Experience of using the Spring framework in production code
• Prior experience as Java software engineer
• Good design and coding skills (SOLID principles, OO principles)
• Demonstrable experience of ability to pick up new tech
• Good communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of building and maintaining RESTful APIs and knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• A true team player mindset with a continuous learning and knowledge sharing spirit.

Other things we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for (key criteria)

Additional skills or willingness to learn the following:

• GraphQL experience or willingness to learn
• NoSQL / MongoDB / DocumentDB
• Full stack development experience
• Big data / data analysis / data modelling
• Working knowledge of Node / Javascript
