Main Responsibilities
As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including posting journal entries, tracking and completing balance sheet reconciliations, and reconciling intercompany with related reporting.
Support external audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements, including supporting with the preparation & filing of the annual financial statements.
Support with treasury control and cash forecasting, ensuring adequate controls and reporting are in place for cash transactions and management.
Lead the corporate month-end close process, including preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and budget reporting. This includes supporting the consolidation, reconciliation and reporting of organisational performance.
Track and report on capital expenditure projects as well as providing regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and variance analysis.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced financial controls across the team.
Support with any other tasks and projects assigned by the Financial Controller and other members of the Senior Finance Leadership Team.
The Ideal Candidate
What we look for in new colleagues:
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in month-end close and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Xero or equivalent.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to working across teams.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, conditional formatting, and financial modelling.
