Key Purpose Statement

The key purpose of the role is to develop and execute internal and external communications strategy for the AEI EMEAA Business in order to enhance awareness and manage our reputation externally while growing engagement internally.
The role will support the commercial and regulatory agenda, business relationships and senior management in their internal and external engagement with employees, the media, industry bodies, customers and trade partners.

Key Accountabilities

External Communication and Relationships

  • Develop and execute external communication strategy; identify key topics, stakeholders and priority markets to focus on. Leverage cross-market synergies within the region.
  • Manage media monitoring based on the local needs
  • Manage crisis / sensitive external communication
  • Build and manage media relations with key media in the region relevant for our business in co-operation with AEI Corporate Affairs
  • Ensure full alignment between external communications objectives and needs and full alignment with AEI Corporate Affairs and Asahi Group Holdings.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholder on key regulatory issues
  • Develop digital communication strategy and plans for our Asahi corporate brand
  • Ensure on-time and top-quality compliance with existing regional alcohol self-regulatory commitments including monitoring and reporting of the outcomes
  • In cooperation with marketing team support the execution of brand PR activities including events as required.
  • Manage media / consumers / customers feedback and requests.
  • Represent and support crisis management communication activities as engaged by AEI Corporate Affairs and EMEAA Management.
  • Provide regular EMEAA success stories and content for AEI Corporate external dissemination (Website, LinkedIn).
  • Manage EMEAA market LinkedIn channels (USA, Canada).
  • Manage EMEAA management engagement with DSMN8 Employee Advocacy Platform for amplified external communications.
  • Manage Communications budget and annual review process.
  • Build internal capabilities in the area of alcohol responsibility with focus on marketing and trade marketing, prepares education and provides consultancy for marketing related to commercial communication.
  • Lead compliance of all commercial communication with Policies, manage the process of compliance check within Sales and Marketing Regulatory Compliance Committee.
Internal communication and engagement
  • Develop and execute EMEAA Internal Communications strategy and plan to be delivered with efficiency and impact.
  • Draft internal communications ensuring well targeted and consistent messages internally aligned with AEI internal communications strategy.
  • Provide communications advice and guidance to Senior EMEAA Leaders.
  • Manage the dissemination of AEI Corporate Internal Communications provided by the AEI Hub (CEO\'s vlog, project communication, strategy communication, regional campaigns).
  • Implementation of corporate identity, including visual identity and reputation management
  • Manage the internal communication mailbox and the internal portals (when available) for EMEAA markets (upload articles, update information.
  • Management of Creative Agencies to deliver assets for internal communication as required (video, graphic design assets)
  • Be an administrator of internal communication tools.
  • Develop and manage EMEAA specific internal communications to support leadership and strategy including engagement events for EMEAA region employees.
  • Be the Corporate Affairs (CA) interface/key point of contact for EMEAA as well as for the Hub CA team
  • Create and organize volunteering activities and opportunities for EMEAA employees.
  • Provide regular EMEAA success stories and content to HUB CA Internal Communications for company-wide dissemination.
Experience Required
  • Experience in Communications focused roles
  • Higher education in a Communications or related subject
  • Fluent English, additional languages of benefit
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong PC knowledge (MS office)
