We have a new and exciting opportunity in our Communications Team for a Corporate Communications Manager to join our team in the London region in a role which would provide you with opportunities on both a strategic and operational side.

In this role you will support our goals by translating our business strategies into impactful external communications, thought leadership/PR and events.

You will have the opportunity to work on developing and implementing media relations and communications strategy that helps protect, build, and enhance Schneider Electric\xe2\x80\x99s reputation, articulating the company story to the market and positioning Schneider as a key player in the digital green economy.

While the role is going to be in the London region you will have the benefit of hybrid working allowing you to work from home 2-3 days a week.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive UK&I media relations to support business growth and public affairs objectives, encompassing trade, local, national, international, and social media outlets. Build, develop and nurture relationships with key target media, influencers, and external stakeholders
  • Develop a corporate communications strategy and go-to narrative based on analysis of the company\xe2\x80\x99s thought leadership potential in key areas relevant to the business
  • Enhance the capabilities of existing business spokespeople (and develops new ones as needed) for external company positioning through media briefings, training, and identifying opportunities to establish thought leadership positions
  • Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, manage media requests, and coordinate interviews with company spokespersons
  • Develop crisis communication plans and strategies to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risks. Provide guidance to leadership on managing media inquiries
  • Manages consistent, positive media coverage through strategic storytelling, capturing media coverage of major news announcements and supporting financial communications team on media strategy for major UK&I disclosures
  • Measure and analyse the impact of external communication efforts, using data and metrics to refine strategies and demonstrate the value of communications to key stakeholders.
  • Work with internal communications on strategies to foster employee engagement, alignment with corporate objectives, and a strong sense of belonging. Ensure consistent and transparent communication across all levels of the organisation
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree (Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field) or equivalent experience for a number of years in a similar role as a Communications Manager or Public Relations Manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, crisis management, and proactive media outreach.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies.
