You are accountable for delivering the Metro Bank brand and business model for Corporate Banking. The key focus is to create and maintain a portfolio of Deposit led Corporate Banking customers within the insurance sector. What you will do:

• Develop and maintain active and influential relationships with key market professionals. Represent the Corporate Banking Team, building our brand reputation in this key market place.
• Ability to generate new business, creating and maintaining a portfolio of deposit led, Corporate Banking customers. You will achieve this through business development and promotion of the Metro Bank brand and products.
• You need to be able to build key relationships with other departments such as Customer Propositions, Treasury, Financial Crime Risk & Controls and Regional Teams.
• Work with Financial Crime Risk & Control and Financial Crime Policy Team to ensure we identify and manage the operational risks of my customer portfolio in line with the Bank's standards and policies.
• Lead by example and set the tone as an advocate of Metro Bank and everything we stand for when dealing with customers, intermediaries and colleagues
• You will predominantly spend your time business developing, seeking new deposit opportunities to support Metro Bank's business objectives.
• Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
• Any other duties as required that reasonably fall within the job

What you will need:

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• Proven track record of generating new business and winning Corporate deposit customers
• Experience in banking insurance sector, with portfolio management of commercial customers
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with strong negotiation and decision-making skills
• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills - building rapport internally and externally at all levels
• Strong knowledge of industries and sectors, how they perform financially and structurally, with sound judgement and insight
• Passion for Metro Bank values and culture, with a keen interest in Corporate customers and offerings
• Confidence promoting the Metro Bank story, influencing senior stakeholders and finding solutions that consider multiple perspectives
