The Corporate Case Services team are looking for a new Corporate Case Services Officer (Income Recovery) to join them at Canterbury City Council for a fixed term contract until 31st October 2026.
We are looking for a Corporate Case Services Officer (Income Recovery) to join our income recovery team focussing on tenancy debt, following procedures and policy to ensure appropriate action is taken.
If you have good computer skills and an understanding of Housing, Debt and Tenancy law and you are confident at negotiating with people by telephone and updating computer systems to reflect your activity, then this is the role for you.

Our Corporate Case Services' working pattern
Full time fixed term position (37 hours a week) Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays, until 31st October 2026
We offer generous annual leave entitlement of 23 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and 3 given days over the Christmas holiday period when our main offices are closed
Hybrid role working from home and in the office
About you, the ideal Corporate Case Services Officer (Income Recovery) for the job:
Your knowledge:
Tenancy management issues and debt recovery processes.
Your experience:
debt recovery processes, including managing difficult customer conversations.
preparation of documentation and attending court to present / support debt recovery cases.
Your skills:
Attention to detail
Organisational skills
Communication skills
Your qualifications:
Good stand of English and Maths at GCSE grade 4 or above
Interview date are 20th and 21st November 2025.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances.
