About the role



In order to support our service expansion and increasing clientele, we are actively recruiting for an energetic and driven Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join our growing commercial team working with SMEs and lower middle market clients. This opportunity will be based either in our vibrant Hove or Mayfair offices and will offer an exceptional platform for a solicitor with 3+ years PQE who is eager to advance their career.

Our Corporate Commercial Solicitor will take an active role in amplifying the firm's business development efforts through networking engagements and written contributions. They will forge meaningful collaborations with business owners and high-profile corporations and play a pivotal role in growing our commercial clientele in both London and Sussex.

The responsibilities for this role encompass managing your own caseload, with support from the wider team. This role will span the full range of corporate and commercial work, including transactional work, M&A, company agreements, contracts, restructuring and governance, franchising and general corporate advice. You will also be regularly meeting with clients to take instructions and advise how to protect them in litigation.

You'll be trusted with:

Autonomy in your role to deliver your billing target Long-term career prospects ranging from management responsibilities to directorship and equity options Responsibility and opportunities to manage client relationships A varied caseload across a broad category of dispute resolution areas

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience drafting, amending, restructuring and negotiating a wide range of generalist commercial contracts and documentation. Demonstrate a client-focused approach with a comprehensive understanding of the drivers affecting legal, regulatory and business risks of owner-managed businesses. Understand how to pro-actively manage client expectations and work with the team around you to achieve realistic and timely results Possess exceptional client-handling and negotiation skills, robust verbal and written communication abilities, and a commitment to establishing strong client relationships. Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to building rapport with clients whilst exhibiting confidence and discretion. Have meticulous attention to detail, alongside exceptional organisational skills. Manage files well to meet deadlines, adhere to established precedents and make full use of the firm's case management system
All candidates must be qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales with experience in corporate law and have the right to live and work here.
