We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Corporate Finance Intern in our Corporate Finance Team. Could you be who we are looking for?
The Corporate Finance team are responsible for managing the finances of South Wales Police. With an annual budget of 410M the corporate finance team provide individual budget holders with financial information to enable them to make critical decisions on how to deliver services to the communities of South Wales. Additionally the team are responsible for managing the capital investment programme, treasury and banking, producing annual statutory accounts, payroll, payments management and local pension administration. We are looking for someone with the skills, experience and enthusiasm to undertake the role of intern and make positive changes to our organisation.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
Working with the team responsible for liaison with BCU's and Departments to provide financial budget information
Supporting the Continuous Improvement within the team
Learning the mechanics of payroll, pensions and taxation and contributing to the monthly processing and control process
Taking responsibility for elements of financial accountancy and managing transactions for accuracy
Producing reports with analytical insight
