Location: Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire MS Therapy Centre, Bedford Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible, primarily Mon-Fri, with occasional evenings/weekends) Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer Salary: 16.89 per hour Contract: Permanent (after a 6 month probation)

The Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire MS Therapy Centre is a well-established and much-loved local charity supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, and other neurological conditions. Through specialist therapy, exercise, wellbeing support, and community connection, we help people live better, fuller lives.

We are looking for a Corporate Fundraiser to help grow our income and engagement through meaningful relationships with local businesses. This role plays a vital part in securing financial support, in-kind contributions, and corporate volunteering opportunities that directly enhance the Centre and the experience of our members.

Purpose of the Role



The Corporate Fundraiser will develop, manage, and grow relationships with corporate partners, securing financial and non-financial support through sponsorship, donations, staff fundraising, and corporate volunteering programmes. Working closely with the CEO, the postholder will help ensure corporate support aligns with the Centre's strategic priorities and values.

Key Responsibilities



Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships (Primary Focus)

Identify, approach, and build relationships with local and regional businesses.

Develop tailored corporate partnerships, including sponsorship, charity of the year, payroll giving, and staff fundraising initiatives.

Secure cash and in-kind donations to support the Centre's services and facilities.

Prepare and present partnership proposals in collaboration with the CEO.

Maintain accurate records of corporate contacts, activity, and income.

Corporate Volunteering

Develop and coordinate corporate volunteering opportunities that add value to the Centre, such as maintenance projects, gardening, event support, and skills-based volunteering.

Act as the main point of contact for corporate volunteer groups before, during, and after volunteering activities.

Work with Centre staff to identify appropriate, safe, and meaningful volunteering opportunities.

Ensure all corporate volunteering activities comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment requirements.

Build long-term relationships with corporate partners through repeat volunteering and employee engagement opportunities.

Community & External Engagement

Represent the Centre at business networking events, community meetings, and corporate engagement activities.

Deliver talks and presentations to businesses, clubs, and community groups to inspire support and involvement.

Act as an ambassador for the Centre, sharing the impact of our work and the difference corporate support makes.

Events & Collaborative Fundraising

Support key fundraising events by securing corporate sponsorship and volunteer involvement.

Coordinate corporate participation in events such as supermarket collections, challenge events, and Centre-led activities.

Work alongside service users, families, volunteers, and staff to encourage inclusive participation where appropriate.

Marketing & Promotion (Supportive)

Work with colleagues to promote corporate partnerships and volunteering through social media, newsletters, and the Centre's website.

Support the development of engaging content and materials for corporate supporters and volunteers.

Person Specification



Essential:

Experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, or relationship management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging corporate stakeholders.

Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Desirable:

Experience of coordinating volunteers or corporate volunteering programmes.

Knowledge of the charity, health, or community sector.

Experience of public speaking or delivering presentations.

Familiarity with basic marketing or social media tools.
