Duties and responsibilities
The responsibilities attributed to the role include, but are not limited to:
Providing support in drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts and agreements, and internal policies
Assisting in the preparation of statutory documents for the incorporation of new entities
Supporting the preparation of statutory documents for the transfer of shares between existing shareholders or new investors
Being involved in the filing of statutory documents with the appropriate authorities to maintain regulatory compliance
Providing assistance in identifying legal risks and providing recommendations to mitigate risks, including implementing policies and procedures to enhance legal compliance and risk management
Maintaining a good understanding of legal developments, trends, and best practices in corporate law and other relevant areas of law through continuing education and professional development activities
Knowledge of maritime law would be advantageous
Assisting with issues relating to immigration applications and law
Liaising with clients, professional advisors and regulatory bodies
Assisting clients in company incorporation and maintenance, company structuring and restructuring
Conducting legal research on various points of law and providing consolidated legal opinions on queries
Experience, knowledge and skills
A minimum of two years of experience for the junior position
Experience in working in one or more of the following areas: corporate, maritime law, international taxation, or international business
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must; other languages are considered an asset
Strong organisational skills and ability to perform diligently under pressure
Education
Fully qualified with a degree in Law
Working time
Our core hours are Monday through Friday, starting time from 09:00 to 17:30, 40 hours per week with a 30-minute break daily, and we are open to flexible and hybrid working
