About the programme
Our training contract takes three and a half years to complete with full support and access to first-class tuition centres.
If you'reAAT Level 4 qualified, you will be eligible for exemptions, otherwise we ask for all trainees to complete the full ACA. We believe that studying alongside a cohort gives you the best chance of exam success.
About the team
Film, TV and Video Games
The Film, TV and Video Games group is one of the leading advisors to this sector and holds a wide client list encompassing some of the world's largest and most successful studios. You will sit within a creative industry focused team as part of the wider national Corporate Tax team. This team plays a crucial role in helping clients within the creative sectors navigate the complex tax landscape, ensuring they can take full advantage of available tax incentives. If you have an interest in the sector, have a curiosity about how the industry works and want to gain specialist technical tax expertise then this is the team for you. As you progress within the team, there may be opportunities to support on a number of tax advisory projects across an array of differing tax specialisms.

Your role and development

As a Tax Trainee, you'll be supported by experienced professionals and gradually introduced to a wide range of technical and advisory work. You'll gain hands-on experience while building your knowledge of corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
You can expect to be involved in:
Supporting the tax compliance process, including helping with tax accounting and learning how tax returns are prepared and submitted.
Preparation of tax credit claims for production companies and the associated filing requirements.
Assisting with technical research and helping respond to queries from clients and internal teams.
Learning how to identify advisory opportunities within client portfolios and contribute to tax planning discussions.
Gaining insight into complex tax areas, such as capital allowances, R&D tax relief, transfer pricing, and international tax matters, with guidance from experienced team members.
We'll support you every step of the way through mentorship, structured training, and our off-site trainee programmes as well as regular social events to build friendships with colleagues.
What you'll need
2:1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained) in any discipline,
A minimum of 120 UCAS points from your top 3 A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies and AS Levels.
A minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
