Cost Accountant
We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturer, based in Lurgan, to recruit for a Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role to support the business. The Cost Accountant will manage product costings and have the responsibility for supporting financial management.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for:
Managing product costings across the business
Business partnering with senior stakeholders.
Overseeing standard cost roll-ups and evaluating their impact on stock valuation
Maintaining master data within manufacturing systems to ensure cost and pricing accuracy
Reporting weekly on variances including PPV, PVs, and labour.
Supporting the post-launch review process
Providing analysis to the Head of Finance for profitability reporting
Contributing to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Performing administrative tasks to support smooth business operations
What you'll need for the Cost Accountant role:
A qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
Experience in a similar role - Costing experience essential
Proven track record in cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis
Experience with recipe management systems and ERP
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail
