About The Role

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an established Senior Cost Modeller from a Facilities Management background to join the team. This role is perfect for an established estimator or cost modeller looking to join a fast-growing company where they can progress their career further.


The main purpose of this role is to lead commercial pricing activity on bids and projects with robust, competitive and innovative pricing solutions for our contracts.



You will develop pricing models and successfully work with the Business Development and Operations teams by understand tender requirements, supporting in the development of commercial/pricing strategy, cost analysis, model development, stress test solutions and pricing, handover from tender submission to mobilisation and operational delivery


Key Accountabilities:




Lead pricing activity for SBFM's bidding function to ensure creative, competitive, and innovative bids are delivered to existing and future clients Develop market leading pricing and FM delivery solutions for bidding opportunities Analyse cost models and commercial solution, pre submission, to support in the delivery of optimum solutions Produce cost models and commercial bid responses to required standard Ensure commercial submissions are compliant with client instructions, all services are included in the final price and are produced to the correct standard using internal or client templates Stress testing solutions and pricing Supporting the sales to operations hand over process with re-pricing final contract pricing for successful tenders Supporting in the remodelling of current client pricing solutions to help drive efficiency and cost saving for our customers Review cost models which have been produced by the Business Development team to ensure they are correctly completed and support the input of the commercial solution into customer submission templates Present cost models developed with the sales and operations leads to the Board for sign off Assist the Business Development team by attending client presentations and meetings when appropriate Caveat all bidding assumptions within the cost model Create P&L forecast for each bidding opportunity Adhere to internal governance processes Lead commercial and estimating best practices and continually improve the company approach Support competitor analysis and benchmarking activity to ensure the business is competitive Review customer documents to understand tender requirements, return documents, evaluation methods and develop commercial/pricing strategy and plan in conjunction with the sales lead Work with SMEs/bid team to gather cost inputs Support robust supply chain pricing activity by providing required inputs and analysis Have a strong understanding of all commercial risks and opportunities and able to evaluate and advise on potential issues and cost mitigation strategies



Skills & Qualities and Experience:




2-3 years' experience as an Estimator or Cost Modeller, with a proven track record within facilities management services, ideally Soft FM desirable Excellent understanding of commercial tendering process and procedures Highly skilled in Excel functionality and VBA Able to manage numerous Contracts / Projects Excellent attention to detail Analytical skills to aid in the review of data Able to work to tight and strict deadlines Ambitious and enthusiastic towards both your career and projects Ability to challenge positively and debate confidently. Commercial acumen and strong cost modelling skills Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels
