This is an exciting time and a great opportunity to join Network Rail's Cost Planning and Estimating Team.In order to ensure we are running a safe and reliable railway that delivers value for money for the people of Scotland, it is essential that we fully understand the associated cost of our renewals and enhancements project and have the ability to assess various programming options of works to ensure we understand the whole industry cost impact of our investments.To enable us to better understand the affordability of our disruptive access proposals that enable the delivery of significant works and gain an understanding of the impact to our passengers, customers and neighbours, we have developed a Decision Impact Assessment Model to support the identification of the optimum strategy, which balances the impact to our customers and the affordability to Scotland's Railway.In CP7, we have significant efficiency challenge with a requirement to reduce expenditures of 10% on OPEX and 15% on CAPEX. The cost of project work will play a significant part in achieving this and this role will play a pivotal part in costing options using different delivery methodologies and supply chain management.You will provide an Estimating, Cost Planning, Benchmarking and support systems service for Network Rail's Investment and Capital Delivery organization.
