Costa Unit Manager
to lead operations on event days.
Role Overview:
The Costa Unit Manager will take charge of the Costa Coffee outlet at London Stadium during events. You will lead a small team, uphold Costa's service standards, maintain smooth operations, and ensure a first-class customer experience. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, live-event environment and has a hands-on approach to leadership and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage and motivate a team of baristas and service staff, ensuring seamless and efficient operation during events.
Customer Experience:
Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure all guests enjoy high-quality coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. Barista experience is essential.
Operational Management:
Oversee the setup, running, and breakdown of the Costa unit in accordance with health, safety, and operational standards.
Stock Control:
Monitor and replenish stock levels proactively to meet demand.
Cash & Payments:
Accurately process transactions, ensuring compliance with financial procedures and controls.
Training & Development:
Support onboarding and training of team members in Costa Coffee's products, service standards, and processes.
Collaboration:
Work alongside stadium staff and other partners to ensure the unit operates in harmony with broader event logistics.
Issue Resolution:
Handle customer complaints or service issues promptly and professionally.
Health & Safety:
Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in managing or supervising within a fast-paced cafe, retail, or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills and a hands-on management style.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Experience working in live event or stadium environments is desirable.
Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
Familiarity with Costa Coffee operations and coffee preparation is advantageous (training available).
Confident in cash handling and using point-of-sale systems.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to make fast decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and match days.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 25 per week
