They need to know the best way around the role, liaise with public, plan their own work,
Working on mixture of business ( Domestic dwellings), trading estate
All of this would be regular inspections, empty domestic and business rates properties are checked ( list of properties are given monthly for them to action),monitoring estates of new builds,
Handle ad hoc work ( make notes on accounts, inspect the location, conduct paperwork)
It is on the candidate as how they plan the time)- Depends on individual to break their own work accordingly
All the travel expenses are covered by the company
Ability to learn council tax business law (will be trained on the same)

This field-based role requires travel across South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse, so a driver's license and access to transport are essential. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds, particularly Black, Asian, and other ethnic minorities.
What you'll be doing:
Regular inspections of domestic properties or sites that have been given planning permission and visiting commercial properties.
Arranging own calendar to ensure that visits take place in a timely manner but also that all administrative tasks are completed
Establishing liability or entitlement to tax discount, exemption or reliefs, in line with legislation and policy.
Taking appropriate action where reliefs no longer apply.
Arranging appointments with landlords, agents, business owners, etc to gain access to premises.
Ensuring the database is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
Developing a network of relationships with developers and landlords in the area
Liaising with other agencies
What we're looking for:
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Good written and numerical skills
Computer literacy and ability to use handheld devices
Enthusiasm, friendliness and confidence
Initiative, self-motivation and accuracy
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
