We are seeking to appoint a Counselling Tutor to deliver the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling qualification course starting September 2025 in Falmouth. We are also wishing to appoint a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling co-tutor to assist the core tutor. In addition there may be further opportunities to deliver all levels of counselling courses in other venues across the service depending upon demand.
The Role:
The post holder/s will deliver high quality learning opportunities to groups of adults ensuring maximum retention of learners and achievement of qualifications. The successful candidate/s will be required to work closely and support our quality team to ensure we are meeting Ofsted/CPCAB requirements. They will also be responsible for directing and supporting a Learning Support Assistant if necessary.
The role requires the ability to assess learners during pre-course interviews, identify appropriate support, and plan and deliver high quality tuition to ensure maximum learner retention. Post holder/s should have experience delivering counselling qualifications.
What you'll need to succeed:
Candidates need to be qualified, experienced and highly motivated Counselling practitioners with excellent communication skills and current membership of a professional counselling body such as BACP. They must hold a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling qualification or equivalent, be in current supervised practice, and be able to evidence CPCAB approval to deliver the above qualifications by CPCAB - see link below:
A generic teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed. or equivalent) is required and GCSE or L2 maths and English qualification. The post holder must also be a confident and competent ICT user.
