Job Summary

DOCS Ardglass are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team on a part time basis. Shifts will be on a rota basis and will include a mixture of weekdays, evenings and weekends so please do not apply if you could not work that's shifts!

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and organised environment. This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Assist in food preparation while adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter and kitchen area. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions and perform basic maths for order processing. Provide help to customers with inquiries about menu items and dietary options. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.

Skills

Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. Experience in food preparation is an advantage, with knowledge of culinary practices. Ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction through effective communication. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Familiarity with restaurant operations and food safety regulations is preferred. A proactive approach to helping customers and addressing their needs promptly.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.50-12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
