Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Assist in food preparation, including assembling dishes, portioning ingredients, and ensuring all items meet food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space to comply with health regulations. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers, actively upselling menu items to enhance their experience. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while adhering to basic math principles. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of food items. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all tasks are completed promptly.

Requirements

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable, with a focus on food preparation and serving. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards in a culinary environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Culinary experience is an advantage but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers alike.
