M.Manze a family run business for over 120years serving up traditional London pie and mash are seeking a catering assistant for front of house in our shop in Tower Bridge Road.

12-16 hours a week

Shifts are flexible, rotas published at least 2 weeks in advance. Weekend work required.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. Duties

Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards. Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring their needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and shop floor. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food delivery. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service efficiency.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is an advantage. Understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
