Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials efficiently while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.
Hours of work at 8 - 4:45 Mon to Thurs and 8 - 12 on a Friday. This will be for an initial 3 month period, with potential to extend.
Duties
Operate forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. Manage materials handling tasks, ensuring proper storage and organisation of products within the warehouse. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and efficiency. Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to prevent injury.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. Valid forklift certification is essential. Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: 12.86 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
