Forklift Loader / Unloader - Wickford - Full time, Permanent - 27,000 per annum + paid overtime

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm + overtime paid at enhanced rate

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Loader/Unloader with recent experience in warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials, and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts (counterbalance) to load and unload goods safely.

Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.

Stack and organise products and materials in the warehouse or storage areas.

Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular checks and basic maintenance.

Keep accurate records of cargo movements using positioning system and report discrepancies to supervisors.

Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and organising stock.

Requirements:

Recent, proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.

Valid forklift license/certification (counterbalance).

Be available for regular overtime, paid at an enhanced rate.

Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using handheld scanners

Experience handling a variety of goods (e.g., fragile, perishable, or hazardous materials).
