Marex\'s Risk division is recruiting an analyst to support the Global Counterparty Risk team in its operational requirements

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all Credit Operations tasks, including:

  • General database maintenance and audit (including responsibility for the integrity of the department\'s internal database)
  • Timely and accurate turnaround of position limit, credit lines and other approvals including documenting and implementing
  • Liaising with various teams to ensure Documents (Promissory Notes/Pagares/Letters of Comfort, Guarantees, ISDA, Tripartites and others as required)are processed and approved by Legal and relevant departments in a consistent manner.
  • Liaise with account executives, heads of desks, counterparties, global counterparty risk and other internal departments (Market Risk, Margins, Legal, IT, Back Office, Treasury, Finance, Management), as required
  • Assisting with and improving department Management Reports with a focus on automation and identifying efficiencies
  • Actively follow up of on outstanding information to progress the workflow of the department
  • Collection of relevant client financial information as required by the department for review purposes
  • Collection of relevant information from other internal departments and audit of this information to ensure its accuracy
  • Training new Team members on systems and processes
  • Regular internal reporting of credit exposures, forthcoming reviews, ratings, returns and other topics as required
  • Ad hoc and routine projects and initiatives
  • Other tasks/duties as required
Skills, Experience & Competencies:

Essential
  • Excellent PC skills (particularly Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible (ability to adapt to change/approach to work and multi-task)
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a credit and / or brokerage / banking environment
  • Previous exposure / basic knowledge of commodities / derivatives markets / products
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements
