Position Overview

The successful candidate will join a talented team reporting to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for the day-to-day trade operations.. The team are managing operational processes across client accounts: trade booking, settlement, reconciliations, PnL calculations and fee monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Joined responsibility for all aspects of Middle and Back office functions constantly improving business profitability through operational improvements: streamlining processes, setting up best execution guidelines, setting up new counterparty relationships.
• Providing real time trade support to the Investment Directors, Portfolio Managers and Traders.
• Managing day to day issues and acting alongside other team members as point of contact for Trading, Investment Management, Sales and other functions.
• Maintaining and optimising company operations infrastructure and implement robust processes and controls.

• Trade booking and processing, as well as responsibility for maintaining accurate data within middle office system.

• Prioritising, completing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Daily cash and position reconciliation.

• Cash management & treasury. Collateral management.

• Daily P&L generation.

• Producing and assisting the CFO with the control of monthly NAVs.

• Asset & share class hedging.

• Developing and maintaining good relationships with Custodians and Fund Admins.

• Operational and counterparty risk monitoring.

• Track client execution through to completion.
• Ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately using company\'s in-house systems.

• Identifying operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

• Assisting in the implementation of new processes and system upgrades.

Skills and experience

• Experience in financial services is preferred, ideally gained in an asset management, wealth management, hedge fund or investment banking environment. We also encourage ambitious graduates who possess a keen interest in finance, economics, and problem-solving and aspire to pursue a career in Asset Management to submit their applications.

• Understanding of the operational aspects of asset/money movement and trading attributes of different investment products.
• Good knowledge of the full trade lifecycle.

• Exposure to multiple asset classes (particularly in Derivatives, CDS, Fixed Income, FX and CFDs) highly beneficial.
• Genuine passion for operations, finance and technology backed by excellent attention to detail with follow-through skills.

• Trading system knowledge, especially Bloomberg, Market Axess etc.

• Good numeracy and computer skills (MS Excel, VBA, SQL).

• History of academic excellence.
