An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an existing team of Countryside Rangers that are responsible for the management and conservation of countryside and woodland sites across the borough. The team are based at Sandall Beat Wood Community Environment Centre, Sandall Beat Wood, Off Leger Way, Doncaster, DN2 5QB.

The successful candidate will be working borough wide across the Council\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio of countryside and woodland sites, with a key focus being on trees and woodland management. You will provide frontline delivery of an all age people centred service, which includes environmental education, community engagement, capacity building, volunteering opportunities, early intervention and prevention, community cohesion, diversionary and community activities borough wide as part of the Countryside Service.

You will work with other internal and external partners and to ensure that the sites are maintained to the highest possible standard. You will need to be resourceful, reliable, thorough, enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and be able to lead and motivate others.

This post is part-funded for two years by the Emergency Tree Fund.
