As a Couples Therapist, you will work with clients to enhance communication, address challenges, and strengthen relationships. Using evidence-based techniques, you will provide a safe space for couples to explore their concerns and develop strategies for lasting change.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct therapy sessions with couples to address relationship issues.
Assess client needs and develop personalised working plans
Utilise therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and other relevant approaches.
Guide couples in improving communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection.
Maintain accurate records and confidentiality in accordance with ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
Certified to practice therapy
Experience in couples therapy or relationship counselling.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
