Duties

Safely operate a vehicle to deliver items to designated locations within specified timeframes. Load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled with care, particularly when heavy lifting is required. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including obtaining signatures when necessary. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is essential; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during deliveries. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with customers and team members. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management.
