Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)

About the role:



An opportunity has arisen for a full time Courier Controller to join our team to provide a high quality, proactive and professional Courier Controlling service for The Doctors Laboratory.
You are expected to provide a high quality, proactive and professional Courier Controlling service for The Doctors Laboratory.

The role involves the controlling of The Doctors Laboratory Courier fleet to meet the needs of our clients efficiently and to a high service level, to process paperwork accurately and efficiently, to ensure all duties are carried out in line with standards defined by Clinical Pathology Accreditation (UK) ltd and any other regulatory body defined by the company.

You will be assisting the Courier Manager in the day to day operation of the department and the induction and training of new couriers. The position will also involve carrying out duties in line with the 'Courier Procedures Manual'.
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working within the courier field, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work on your own and as part of a team and a good standard of IT skills.

Please note: This role is a 4 on 4 off shift, and you will be expected to work weekends/Bank Holidays on a rotation in line with your shift pattern.
You will be occasionally expected to work flexible hours according to Departmental requirements, as decided by management, which will include some evenings and weekends to cover absences in the team.

Must have Controller/Logistics experience
