Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier/External Salesperson to join us on our jouney. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering differnet types of goods from parcels to pallets, promptly and efficiently across designated routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. As well as this, to grow our customer base by different means of contact with potential clients, which would then be paid as an additional incentive. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently and have a keen desire to grow as the face of the company.

Responsibilities

Collect and deliver goods to and from designated points Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption Deliver items to customers' addresses accurately and on time, adhering to safety protocols Call and cold call customers and potential customers to help build volume of work and growth Drop in leaflets and promotional items to customers and potential customers Be a point of contact Obtain signatures or proof of delivery where required Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collection activities Handle customer queries politely and professionally during deliveries Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues promptly Comply with all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies

Requirements

Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car licence or lorry licence) Preferably own van and insurances Proven experience in delivery or courier roles is advantageous but not essential Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical fitness to lift and carry parcels of varying sizes and weights Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude towards work commitments Overnight stays where required (paid for)

Additional pay

Mileage bonus paid at 0.15 per mile Incentive driven opportunity to grow customer base and benefit from an additional commission on all customer sales?
