Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely service and excellent customer satisfaction. This role requires a valid driver's licence, good organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deliveries throughout the day. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on punctuality and professionalism. This is a dynamic role may also involve yard work at times including cleaning company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and goods to designated locations. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in accordance with customer requirements. Collect signatures or proof of delivery where necessary, maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Communicate proactively with dispatch or clients regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes. Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety procedures are followed. Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred but not essential; familiarity with commercial driving is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Experience in warehouse operations or handling heavy lifting is beneficial. Good time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules consistently. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
