Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to various locations within the region. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery times. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during deliveries. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including heavy lifting of packages or goods.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred. Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car or commercial licence). Experience in commercial driving environments is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is desirable. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Organised with the capacity to manage multiple deliveries within tight schedules.
