We are currently recruiting for a Court Clerk who will be based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.
You will be responsible for booking counsel for each hearing in very busy diary - the court team manages the diaries of 9 teams at Bond Turner and is responsible for making sure each hearing is represented by an appropriate barrister.

Responsibilities to include:
Ensure appropriate counsel booked for all hearings in the diary
Liaise with fee earners, Team Leaders, and Directors to clarify issues on each hearing to identify suitable counsel
Make sure case handlers are aware who is covering their case and that counsel have papers for hearings
It is essential that you build good working relationships with chambers and Bar clerks to allow Bond Turner to amend bookings at short notice to provide flexibility
Maintaining an accurate diary
Input hearing details into the court team diary
Maintain awareness of cases that are likely to be coming up for hearing
Running business activities and the administrative systems to meet quality standards
Scheduling meetings arranging for files/papers to be conveyed to the relevant Barrister
Suggesting barristers for cases according to their experience
Deliver urgent documents to chambers
Make travel and accommodation arrangements
Carry out general administrative duties discussing the most appropriate barrister to take the case in terms of specialisation, particular abilities, experience and availability
Arranging meetings on behalf of the barrister with the instructing solicitor and client to discuss the case
About You:
Previous Administration / PA experience advantageous
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Good understanding of the CPR, relevant legislation, case law and costs industry regulations
Experience of using Proclaim case management system (desirable)
Diligence and high attention to detail
Personality, tenacity and enthusiasm
