37.5 Hours per week, worked between the hours of 0800-1600 term time only plus four weeks for examination support- 40 weeks a year.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our educational team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a strong commitment to supporting students' learning and development.

Duties

Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their work. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively while adapting to the needs of different learners. Maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Support students in their learning by providing guidance and assistance as needed. Monitor student behaviour and report any issues to appropriate staff members. Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of education and support for students. Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and materials as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a teaching or educational support role is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. A background in teaching or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behaviour positively and constructively. A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
