Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and forward thinking Cover Supervisor to work in a Hastings Secondary School. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment by supervising classes in the absence of regular teachers. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to supporting students' educational needs.

Duties

Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure that students remain on task and engaged during lessons. Communicate effectively with students to foster a supportive learning environment. Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher while adapting them as necessary to meet students' needs. Maintain discipline and promote positive behaviour among students. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to student management. Assist in administrative tasks related to classroom management as required.
