Cover Supervisors step in when teachers are absent, leading lessons and keeping pupils on track using pre-prepared materials. There's no planning or marking involved - just great communication, confidence, and the ability to manage a room.
We're supporting two secondary schools in
Eastbourne
who are looking for reliable, adaptable people to join their teams. You'll support pupils aged 11-16 across a range of subjects - one day English, the next PE or Science, so no two days are ever the same.What you'll do:
Lead lessons using resources left by the teacher Manage behaviour and ensure pupils stay focused Support learning across different subjects Build rapport quickly and maintain a calm, positive classroom
This role suits:
Teaching Assistants or Learning Mentors ready to step up Graduates or career changers exploring teaching Ex-forces, sports coaches, TEFL teachers or youth workers Confident communicators who can think on their feet
