Humly North East are currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and confident Cover Supervisors to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Redcar. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work in education, whether you are seeking short-term daily supply or longer-term placements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher
Support students in engaging with their learning during cover lessons
About You:
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. as a teaching assistant, tutor, youth worker, or sports coach) is essential
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Confident and adaptable with a professional attitude
A valid degree and a minimum of GCSEs (A-C) in English and Maths (or equivalent) A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
