Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of SHARE Academy.

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor who will work throughout school, under the direction of the Assistant Headteachers, to take responsibility for groups or classes of students and deliver good teaching and learning in the short-term absence of their usual teacher.


We want an enthusiastic individual to work as a team member across the academy, who will support the learning, progress and welfare of all students to help them achieve their personal best.

The ideal Candidate will have:

Maths and English GCSE to grade C or equivalent. NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience. Considerable experience of working within an Academy or equivalent including experience of working as a Teaching Assistant. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to coach and persuade. The ability to work on own initiative and be able to respond independently to unexpected problems.
