The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher and ensure a positive, supportive learning environment for our students.
This is a full-time role, working term-time plus 6 weeks to support the wider academy and professional development needs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise students during lessons, ensuring work is completed and behaviour expectations are maintained. Deliver pre-set lessons and activities across a range of subjects. Manage classroom dynamics effectively and build positive relationships with students. Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in line with the Academy's values. Record attendance, progress, and behaviour as required. Work collaboratively with teachers, mentors, and support staff to create a safe, engaging environment for all learners.

About You

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an Alternative Provision or SEN setting. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. Calm, empathetic, and adaptable under pressure. Passionate about supporting students who may face barriers to learning. A relevant qualification or degree is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided.
