Teach South is seeking a confident and reliable

Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning. You'll deliver pre-prepared work, manage the classroom effectively, and maintain a positive learning environment.

This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, teaching assistants ready to take the next step, or anyone with strong communication skills and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering set lesson plans and resources. Ensure students stay on task, maintain good behaviour, and follow school policies. Support students' learning by responding to questions and promoting positive attitudes. Assist with administrative or pastoral duties when required. Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and continuity.

About You

Confident, adaptable, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable, but training can be provided.
