About the Role

Teach South is recruiting a confident and flexible

Cover Teacher

to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in

Rye

. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects.

As a Cover Teacher, you'll step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You'll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and promoting a positive classroom environment.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects and key stages. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Ensure students remain focused, motivated, and engaged in their learning. Provide feedback to teaching staff on class progress and any issues. Support the wider school community as required.

About You

Confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt and deliver lessons across different subjects. Strong organisational and behaviour management skills. A positive, flexible, and professional attitude. QTS is desirable but not essential - training and support can be provided.
