We are looking for an enthusiastic CQC Compliance Supervisor who can demonstrate excellent leadership skills and is well organised with a passion for delivering high standards. You will have previous GP Practice experience at a supervisory level. However we will consider an exceptional candidate if able to demonstrate the necessary transferable skills. This is a full time role, Mon-Fri (flexible working - potential over a 4 day week).

Organisation Overview



We are a very friendly, well-established practice working across our 3 sites based in North Hailsham and Punnetts Town. We have a GP partner, 9 salaried GPs, Paramedic Practitioner, ANPs, a Pharmacy Technician, Practice Nurses and HCAs, all of whom are supported by our experienced administration team. We also have ARRS roles linked to the Practice. We are a GP training practice - part of the Eastbourne scheme.

We are a GMS non-dispensing practice and look after approx. 13,600 patients with a growing list size. We are incredibly proud of how we provide care for our patients.

We are rated as CQC Good and are a high QOF achieving practice.

Main Role Duties



The key role of the CQC Compliance Supervisor will be to support the Management team in all aspects of practice functionality on a day to day basis. Build leadership capability within teams; promote reflective practice and learning from incidents/complaints.

Ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities and also deputise for the Management team in their absence.

Translate data into actions that drive continuous improvement, not just compliance.

Maintaining and carrying out remedial actions in response to significant events.

Managing the clinical system ensuring the clinic session structure is effective and meets the needs of patients.

HR duties including involvement with recruitment, training and performance of administrative and clinical staff.

Ensure adherence with Data Protection Legislation.

Ensure the practice complies with Health & Safety regulations and staff are trained and aware of the relevant procedures.

Insight to all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual premises and equipment checks.

Administrative duties such as complaints management, preparing reports as required.

Oversee recording of MRHA safety alerts are maintained.

Job Responsibilities



You will be responsible for assisting the Management team in the smooth and efficient running of the practice whilst supporting all aspects of CQC compliance as necessary. Working closely with the Practice Manager, Office Managers, IT Manager and Reception Manager to support the team.

Experience



Essential criteria



At least 5 years experience in NHS/Primary Care General Practice. Experience of working with the general public. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Knowledge of CQC regulations and the Single Assessment Framework and experience leading teams through inspections or equivalent assurance processes. Ability to work autonomously and self-direct own workload. IT proficient , able to work with email, internet and windows based software including Outlook, Word and Excel at a good level. To learn new software packages as required. Proven people management skills. Ability to motivate staff. Strategic thinker who can balance governance detail with growth and innovation. Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle; ability to travel between branch sites.

Desirable criteria



Knowledge of PCN. Knowledge of QOF and local enhanced services. Strong understanding of CQC. General Practice policies and procedures. Good knowledge of EMIS. Familiar with TEAMNET.

Qualifications



Essential criteria



Evidence of professional development. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable criteria



An appropriate management qualification in healthcare or business.
