Board of Directors and the regulatory body for domiciliary care- CQC.

The registered manager is expected to ensure high-quality homecare services that support the rights of service users to live the lives they choose as far as they are able. Efficiently manage the day-to-day running of the business. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high-quality homecare to service users within budget. Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely. To manage the services within the company in accordance with standards agreed with the board of directors, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practices.

Notify the Care Quality Commission, at least one month prior to the absence (except in an emergency, in which case within one week) of continuous absence of 28 days or more, stating the following: length of absence; reason for absence; arrangements for running the establishment; name, address and qualifications of person responsible for the establishment during the absence. Notify return within 7 days of return from an absence of 28 days or more.

Manage the safety and quality of the business:



Managing Information governance and clinical governance

Formulate and implement CaringSmart Ltd. policies, procedures and Instructions

Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a registered manager and law relating to domiciliary care services.

Undertake risk assessments where required

Adhere to Health and safety laws including recording of incidents.

Minimise legal risks.

Be involved in the design and implementation and maintenance of the company's quality assurance program.

Maintain clear written and electronic records in line with legalisation.

Keep the business complainant with the CQC, with utilisation of the 'CQS' software.

Lead and manage staff:



Keep all therapeutic relationships with employees and service users professional and not overstep the boundaries.

Managing and developing an effective team

Recruitment of staff

Undertake the induction of new staff.

Undertake staff training

Ensure all staff are trained on all essential aspects of mandatory training and training is kept up-to date

Supporting staff in their roles and supervision.

Sickness/absence management Disciplinary action of staff if required

CPD of staff; identify on going training needs and ensure staff are up to date with current best practice

Actively encourage all staff members in CaringSmart Ltd. to join 'The Social Care Commitment'.

Support and uphold an open, positive and inclusive management culture.

Management of Care Delivery/ Services:



Engage in Initial contact with clients, undertake contact assessments, assess needs, and develop individualised care plans (with review dates).

Ensure that Service User rights are protected.

Maintain Confidentiality, gain consent, maintain privacy and dignity and promote independence of clients.

Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams in order to maximise opportunities for Service User therapeutic Care.

Ensure Quality Assurance of the business is undertaken through reviews, audits, supervisions etc

Use the 'People Planner' software for everyday running of the homecare business and for sharing information with consenting relatives on a daily basis

Manage day to day running of the business developing staff rotas, allocation and delegation of work etc.

Ensure person centred, holistic care is being delivered to clients.

Implement action to meet and maintain Care standards.

Operate the company in a cost-effective manner, within the financial limits set by the board of directors.

Managing compliments, complaints and incidents.

Professional Long Term Care Leadership:



Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of Care.

Promote a positive image for services provided and employment within The Agency.

Encourage health promotion within Care strategies.

Establish relationships with learning institutions to promote availability of staff training at all levels.

Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Promote the business:



Build positive working relations with people who use the service and other health care professionals

Attend external meetings and represent the service in a positive manner

Participate in the growth and development of the business.

Work with the directors of CaringSmart Ltd. to achieve sales targets and deliver within budget.

Positively enhances the brand of CaringSmart Ltd. and identifies any sectors where the brand will be able to develop.

Participate in marketing activities.

Be/ Become a confident sales person of services CaringSmart Ltd.

Working hours:



Full time hours; aachievement of goals and objectives and the covering of vacant shifts are expected. The Manager will be expected to maintain an on-call facility and, in the case of holiday or sickness, to arrange for the facility to be maintained.

Qualifications required:



Managers are required by the regulations to have the 'necessary qualifications, skills and experience' to carry out the regulated activity. Skills for Care advise that the current, relevant qualification is the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Be a Registered Manager with CQC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
