Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our private dental practice. The successful candidate will hold overall responsibility for regulatory compliance, clinical governance, operational performance, and team leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred dental care in line with CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the CQC Registered Manager, with full accountability for compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities).
Oversee daily operational management of the dental practice, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-organised service delivery.
Lead, support, and supervise the dental team, including dentists, dental therapists, dental nurses, and administrative staff.
Maintain robust clinical governance systems, including policies, audits, risk assessments, incident reporting, and quality improvement.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidance, including infection prevention and control, safeguarding, radiography (IR(ME)R), and HTM 01-05.
Manage staff performance, training, CPD compliance, and appraisal processes.
Act as the main point of contact for CQC, responding to notifications, inspections, and regulatory correspondence.
Oversee patient feedback, complaints handling, and duty of candour processes.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective management of practice documentation and systems.

Essential Requirements
Experience in a dental practice management or dental leadership role.
Eligibility and willingness to be registered with as a Registered Manager.
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and governance in primary dental care.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
Confident communicator, able to liaise with patients, staff, contractors, and regulators.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
Desirable
Clinical background (Dentist, Dental Therapist, Hygienist, or Dental Nurse).
Experience leading CQC inspections or new-service registrations.
Familiarity with private dental practice operations.
